Hello,
I posted a movie of a painting of a bridge done in painter and it was suggested that i try one in photoshop. I did it by taking screenshots and stitching them in after effects. Works OK.
Here's the subject, so you can figure out if you are interested. It's a little strange.
Underneath my kitchen sink(really)
Here's the movie file:
It's a quicktime disaster

Wow, that is cool. BTW Craig, I took a little bit of artistic liberty with one of your pictures. its posted in the "He is" topic. Hope u don't mind, i'll take it down if its a problem. I was just trying the technique u use on a self portrait, and then I just decided to add a body similar to your marathon 2 trooper picture.
cheers

Very cool -- I didn't realize that you started out with such general, blobby shapes, then cut them down...interesting....

Very nice one .. thnx for doing that in photoshop =) .
I like very much the pressure variations you use expecially when you simulate that lazur effect ...
I didnt know that you use custom brushes ... also it seems as if you are nearly 100% sure what colors you will use .. incredible .. for my own part i colorieze and shift and stuff a lot before i am satisfied ... hmmm ... also the subtle color variations on the pipes ... ( a little green here a little blue there ) is very impressing for a sketch ...
how long did you take for this one ? ( approx. )

p.s.: very cool to start the mov with a white picture ;D heheh .. nahh just kidding

We're not worthy! We're not worthy!
Hehe, okay, I think it's about time we introduced a new verb:
to spooge: to draw something astonishingly realistic

buut I don't liiike Quicktime... hehe I downloaded it to see if the Windows media player would open it, but not a chance. Oh well, I like the subject anyhow. I don't have a cable modem, but we will be getting one of those wireless satelite dishes (hopefully) soon That will be soo cool. Then I'll be all fast and stuff. haha |

Very cool. I don't like Quicktime that much either for the pc. But I really want a new mac for art, and the new OS coming out looks pretty cool.
Phire <- I don't know if he used the same one for this pic, but in another topic awhile back he said he used an apple notebook - the transparent one I think.

Haha, of course it's him.
Can you not tell by the simple fact that all his images are hosted on goodbrush.com? :P
Also, the fact that he admitted it seems to be what made me a believer :P |

Just wonder what sort of computer you have to handle 2048 resoultion, The airbrush lags for me in photoshop under 1600x1200 :P. BTW check out my Old woman painting in the forum, i didnt resize that so it looks blurry . |

Immi, I am through Nov 10 with the mail. I thought viavoice might help, but it don't.
Acryl, the sink took a little over an hour. WHen you think about color, always think as value and color as independent things. They are not related. I find using the HSB picker underlines that fact very well.
Jess, I am not sure how to output the movie so a standard windows player will decompress it. I would, cause quicktime su....
Phire, I have a fischer price mac g3 with a lot of ram. Am using PS 4 because of a bug in virtual memory in 5 and 5.5. With your old women pic, make a clear valur difference between what is in light and what is in shadow, that will help sharpen it upa bit. Don't use so much contrast in the flesh- that's why it looks metallic.
AS far as being that overpaid, nearsighted housepainter CM, I've never been more insulted!
