Bah, LeChuck add that pic just in every msg... whatz da cool feedback !
Tinusch, it remind me a 'Thief' game somehow... seems like you never saw a REAL fire. Wall and arm need to be more defined. Oh whatz happend with his eyes? They are too big! And there is an empty space right above. But overall it's good start, keep drawing dude !

First of all, is that fire?
or some yellow flare?
2nd, the thing is too blurry, stop using that damn smudge.
3rd, eyes are big.
I think you have atleast 1 more week of work to complete it.

The fire kicks ass and he looks even more sinister with the smaller eyes.
The only thing is that the fire looks like its explodeing out of the tourch. I would think a tourch flame would be less intense.
I wish I knew how to make fire like that. (ahem...) |

Sorry LeChuck, I thought you were being sarcastic about the fire the first time... Well, what I did was I made a new layer on top of the pic, and just used the paintbrush to draw in a solid yellow fireball, basically just a yellow ball with tall wisps and spikes on it. Then I dodged out a bright spot in the middle for the white area, and used an orange airbrush on the edges to make it look more... uh, orange. Then I used the smudge tool on about 50% pressure and smudged it all upwards, to make it look a little more wild and intense. I also drew in a few smaller flames shooting off the top and some embers flying off the sides. After that I flattened the layers, and, with an orange paintbrush on about 15% opacity, manually added the glow to all of the fire. That's about it. |

Hehe, sorry Muzman, I didn't realize the first two replies were positive... The first reply just asked if it was Garrett (YES! That's his name, I couldn't remember at the time), and the second one I thought was sarcastic (because the next replies told me the fire didn't look good so I assumed LeChuck felt the same way...). Well, anyway, thanks for liking the pic! And thanks for the constructive criticism, I think it looks a lot (well, a little) better now. :p |

Well, I was a little reluctant to post my revised version due to the unanimously negative response I got to the first one, but what the hell.
Is this any better? I fixed the fire (come on, fire looks exactly like that) and shrunk his eyes down a bit. Please let me know if I've managed to make it any better. Thanks. |
