I just got back from my trip. I've gotten a bunch of e-mails about different problems with the forums. I'm not sure whats going on. Some posts are gettting deleted, the main page shows no posts, new registrations arent working, and some mailing things are screwed up. If anyone knows what may be the problem please let me know. I just noticed there is a new version of the UBB, so i'll upgrade within the next week or so and hopefully it'll fix the problems.
Anyway, please bare with me and hopefully this place will be bug free soon.

Yeah, it's odd, basically the main problem is that when people post replies, the number of replies on that post increases, yet the message does not become visible for hours and hours. This happens to me in both IE and NS, even with caching turned off. The only page that seems to not bring up the cached version is the main digital forum page, which is odd. This might be just a silly problem on my end, but I see a lot of people posting twice because they didn't see their first one go through. Argh...computers, can't live with em, can't live without internet porn. We just can't win
And yes, welcome back Dhab, I hope you had a great holiday

Hmm.. I haven't had any problem with postings lately.. it seems that I can't see the lightinng bulbs on the main forum page.. but if I get into my profile and resubmit my stuff then I can see them.
But even if I see a bulb lit, when I enter the corresponding forum all the threads are marked as already read and not new. Who knows?! :-?

Testing. My server just moved to a computer with bigger drive space and faster CPU too.
I have a feeling low drive space was to blame for the problems. If anyone still has new problems that did not originate in the past week or 2, please let me know.

One of my topics vanished. And last night on the main forum page it said that there were 0 topics in each of the forums. Glad to know it wasn't just me . |
