just a heads-up on a great comic. it's called "the boondocks" and deals with a lot of real-life issues - mostly race and social hypocrisy, though. it's been compared to "doonsbury" quite often. anyway, the writing's not only really good but the strip's creator, aaron mcgruder , was obviously heavily influenced by anime. it all comes off really nice. the strip's homepage is at http://www.boondocks.net/ and washingtonpost.com carries the current installments. slight warning - there are a lot of "inside jokes" dealing with rap and african american history and some white readers have complained they "just don't get it"...so it may not be for everyone.

Boondocks is a cool strip. I read it whenever I get a chance to grab a news paper.
