Hi everybody!
I just interesting what type(or settings) of JPEG compression you are using to save the final result?
Also it's interesting to know what is your favourite workfile resolution (like 800x600, 1024x768 etc.) ?

Leo.... you should search the forum for this topic. It's been discussed be4. Shane Caudle works at something like 3000 x 5000... if I didn't remember wrong. And then... he resizes it down. They don't work in actual finished pixel sizes. It's easier that way. But you need lotz of RAM for that. I only have 64MB my self. And when I do things in 3000x5000, I could hear the HDD churn through the scratch disc, which is slow as a snail. |

I tend to work in at least 2000x1500 or something. I don't work in any specific aspect ratio -- just whatever fits the composition. For final images, I tend to save as jpeg at about 80% in Painter...whatever gives a good balance between quality and size.

SInce I usually have little to no idea what I'm going to do when I start painting, I'll start with a 1024x768 image in which I sketch out what I'm going to do, cropping and adding space to the canvas as needed.
