I'm working on an abstract face and I've been looking at a lot of other people's digital art... and I was wondering how you get such great detail in the hair? Here is a section of the girl I'm working on. She's not nearly done, has imperfections and she's supposed to be abstract and bug eyed. So please don't be too harsh. Also, this is my first time using this techniqe... practice makes perfect I hope...

hey.. ur picture is really scary .. kewl idea..it must be a torment to have eyes that big stuck in that skinny little head.. hehe.. i dunno much about creating a highly detailed hair.. but u can try using brush with many small dots.. try loading new set of brush in photoshop.. u can find it in there.. i found some tutorials on hair.. but i forgot the address.. sorry.. Can anybody else help?

YAY! Well using darker color and adding shadow will help already  And then using smallest brush size dodge and burn lines.. liek here (heheheh maybe this is TOO realistic for this drawing) beep

: ) thanks you guys... I thought for sure I was going to get bashed bad. I wish that I could do hair as realistic as that star warz grrl Shizo... maybe someday ; ) It's so hard being a bug-eyed freak.
