well, my interest in drawing started about 3 months ago and the REAL(yep) reason why i got into drawing was after i saw those great drawings by Dhabih. I have been drawing with pencil some pics(usually about fantasy) but i cant draw faces that even look like a face(they look like monkey ass).
So... can someone give some good links or other rules about drawing faces?

Well, here's what I did on my last sketch. I think it's more annoying to do this, but here ya go. Simply get a picture, draw a grid on it (depending on it's size use cm or inch.), then pick a ratio like 1:1 or 2:1 (2:1 you have to draw a grid 2x as big as your original) and draw another grid on a seperate piece of paper and just start sketching the main areas and work from that.
Confusing?? Probably, but I think it's understandable enough. It helps to get the main concepts and anatomy of drawing things like humans.

I got a suggestion. Just pick up a mirror and draw yourself, or others if u can. Look at faces or anything else that interests you. Thats about it, the rest is practice. |

I used to use 2B a lot, but for the last few months I've been using HB. But only on A4 sheets. When I work big scale, I'll use 2B. I think it's because you can get a lot of detail with the HB. When u use the 2B it gets really dark and smudgy and you loose all the fine lines. |
