Did you make sure to have your Wacom in 'Pen' mode and not 'Mouse' mode? That sounds like it could very well be your problem...

For some reason, Photopshop registers it as a pen on my cpu even if it is in mouse mode. But Painter sees it as a mouse if it is in that mode.

It's weird
one time the cursor flips and the other time it works...
and it's not the pen/mouse mode...
well dunno, it worked ... this time
anyway, cleaned up this image drawn by Jakob Kramer

Also a while ago i did this with my mouse

NOT my sketch but I used it for practicing

Anyway, JD smith here I come ) (yeah right!!)

That problem (the "offset stroke") can usually be cured by uninstalling the reinstalling the tablet software. It usually happens after changing screen resolution. Something gets tricked into thinking it's still in the old resolution.

no, dude, it's the driver. When I bought mine, my tablet was all screwed up, and was giving me all these weird messages, etc. I called it in, and the tech guy said that the first driver was hella buggy, and most tablets on the marked are still packed with the initial driver. He also mentioned the Painter screw-ups. One Painter Classic bug that was never fixed the eraser turning into a paintbrush loaded w/ purple color. =)

So go get the driver already!
