Before I get too far in this pic, could anyone give me some pointers on areas that may cause problems? I am going to address his left (your right) arm's sleeve and hand proportion, and add a nicely contrasting background and shading. Don't tell me about his straight back. They are gas-tanks.

if those pans are bell bottoms an as loose as they appear to be, then on his left leg there would be a little material lowering down just a little more,.
make sense?

You can only see it on his right leg for now, but those bell bottoms are fastened to his shoes. I think I forgot to add that to the left leg while blocking the sketch in. My bad
