13" B? LOL, I am sorry for laughing, but it isn't meant to be mean or anything, I just never heard of anyone have one smaller then 15" especially with the system unit specs you have...usually I see 13" with a old Apple IIe or something...
i mean I have a 15 inch in my closet just sitting around, if you want it, I could sell it to you...

i've been waiting for the prices of the 21 inch monitors to dropfor a few years,. they just never sem to get low enough to buy,. most of the computer parts i can get for wholesale, except monitors,. i'm also in the business of upgrading computers,. and when people upgrade they give me their old stuff,. i got the 32 meg dimm that way, the video card, the 6 gig Hdd, the sound card,.the monitor,.. all for free,.
640x480 kind of sux,. mebbe i'll buy a new one today,. anyone know of a better place to buy it that pricewatch.com?
christmas is around the corner, so i winder if i should wait a few weeks,....hmm
another question for all of you,... did you purchase your own pc's or di you have your parents pay for them?... i had to buy mine, and i also bought a nearly identicle one for the 'rents,.

Dudz, I got a 12" TFT display, max res. 800x600. Don't laugh!
I think that TFT's/flatscreens are a lot better than regular tube monitors for gfx due to the crispness. You can precisely see every single pixel on the screen. I think I'll keep using my laptop for gfx 'til I get the dough to buy a 17" flatscreen or something. |

my very first computer {a P75, 17", 800MB HD, 8MB RAM, Sub Sound System, Quad speed CD ROM <- they still called it quad not 4x LOL} I paid for half and that was about 6-7 years ago, so it was $3,760, oh and I had a Epson Laser printer <- $600 right there.
pwew, I am glad that price war is over. This AMD one I have right now I paid for all myself and it ran $700...

Wow, am I the only Mac user here? Too bad, I have a souped up Dell, which I use for everything BUT Photoshop, and a G3 450 with a gig o ram and 36 gigs online for Photoshop. The PC is sooo much nicer for everything but photoshop, at which it coughs in handling large files (75MB and above on 256 mgs ram)
Maybe I have it misconfigured? Any ideas? |

How do you alocate the memory specially for photoshop? Say, I have 128Mb and I want to alocate 96Mb or something, what is the procedure? Because even though I have a decent PC (well, its good enough for me Photoshop when handling resolutions like 24oox26oo, at which I always work, sometimes gets sloppy and slow.
