I am starting a site, 'www.worthlessfacts.com'
please post any interesting / humorous
information here or visit the site and
submit there, thanks.
Worthless Facts
Note: It does not have to be a 100% provable
fact...satire welcome.
Some examples of current information include
how many pints of Guiness are lost in the
mustaches of Englishmen per year and how to
tell the exact temperature by listening to
crickets chirping.
Please help us off to a great start...thanks.

Starfish eat by regurgitating their stomach on top of their food. If they dont like what they are eating they detach the stomach and grow a new one.
shrimp have their heart in their head
Inuit's have over 1000 different words for ice. But not one word for hello.
On a farm a cow was recently born with a 5th leg.
Pig vomit is used in perfume and colone to hold the cent in.
A human female's vagina can be streached to fit an adults head compleatly inside (I have a pic to prove it. But you most likely dident want to know about that anyway)
I used to know a lot more. But I cant remember them.

They are all pretty damn unusual! Who would have ever guessed that Tom Green only had one ball. Or that 4 people in the UK die every year putting their trousers on.

This is for DaveT.
Riddley Scott was not the writer of Blade Runner so I would not put too much faith in that theory.
I have heard that before but it just doesn't add up.
Sorry |

Okay so the site has been posted. I guess
you would call it Worthless Facts Beta 0.8
Please check it out and let me know what you
think of the layout, design, navigability and
so on. I know there aren't a whole lot of
facts yet, but you can help with that too.
Thanks.
Please post feedback here or use the contact
page on the site.

Sorry lotor...take a look here
And tho Ridley Scott didn't write it (Phillip K Dick did, in the form of Do Androids Dream of Electric Sheep?), the film is so far gone from the book as to have to resemblance from the original intention as no the replicant-deckard idea...
Ah well - they're both good. Go see / read em both now.

That is true a bull is color blind....but the question is why do they choose the color red and not any other color?
Anyone know that? I do, just want to see if anyone else does... |

As far as I know, they don't choose the colour red. It's the movement of the red cape that makes them agitated.

There is a reason they have the color red.....and yes you are right the movement makes them angry, but why not green or blue? Why red |

Hey thanks, still working out some bugs
and I definitely need more facts, and the
site looks so terrible in Netscape that I
made it so it redirects Netscape users to
an apology about that, but other than that
I think it's going pretty well. |

Don't forget to provide a IE download link to that apology page..if not already...I wouldn't worry about porting anyway...over 80 to 90% of people will be visiting with IE.
Netscape to me is sort of like a Mac vs Microsoft thing....Netscape is cool....but no one really supports it LOL |

About the bull fighting colour choice thing. Not only do they use red cloth, but they use the shade of red that is identical to bulls blood. During the bull fight, the bull will be bleading fairly heavily, and on every pass, a significant amount of its blood will be splattered onto the cloth thing. If they were to use white or blue or some other colour, then it would end up looking rather messy by the end. |

FatPenguin is correct...some people like bull fighting, they just don't like to see a lot of blood
Slicing the ear off is the main object to bullfighting in one form..then stabbing the bull through the neck into the spinal cord to kill it is the next goal...they get 2 tries for that...if they don't then they aren't very good bullfighters
Then 2 mules take the dead carcus out of the stadium and there is a honor celebration for the owner of the bull and a feast (guess what the main course is!) heh
