Hey, that pic is lookin realy nice
But there's one exception. The electricity.
It's not blurred enough and stands out too much.
And also, the colours in your pictures are much more gold/red orientated thus making the blue look a bit out of place. Perhaps you should have done the pic more blue/purple orientated. Or, try to dull the blue so it doesn't stand out too much, then highlight it with white so it still looks like lightening. Do u get me?
Maybe make the main colour of the lightening streak white with it gently mixing to a blue glow around it. Or something like that. Gee, I'm having a hard time explaining this. Sorry. Or you could just leave it as it is
But otherwise, I think it's a really great looking image, keep it up! |

Trance-R, kewl pic! I'm inclined to agree with what's been said tho about the electricity *immediately starts singing Something For Kate* ahem... anyway, one good one to do electricity is to choose a small brush, and then in the Paintbrush Options window, put a number value in the Fade box (prolly around 45 or so, but experiment with it), and make sure Fade to Transparent is selected. Have fun!

Good work, nice logo!
But as Leo pointed out you need to work some more whit the electric lightning, perhaps some white pixels.
That would be cool.

hey here's a tip for the lightning
place an extra layer behind the lightning layer and draw the lightning over with a white brush (not 100% transparancy). It creates a cool light effect

I Took your Lighning and:
1. selected its color and changed it to a bluer color.
2.took a 1 pixel brush and put some white lines on it to give it more bright spots..
3.then i took a small brushed blur tool and blurred it a bit.
4.grabbed the dodge tool and made more defined whites
5.grabbed the burn too and gave it some depth.

Check out the laser tutorial at this site:

If you add a little bit of static distortion you should get your desired results.

Hey Dylon, thanks for that additional TIP!
I think I could do one that looks good enough now. |
