His stomach looks kinda strange. And the arms seem to be a little too bright (the highlights) if your only light source is that smoking ...thing.
You could try to add some more detail everywhere. It's nice though. But it's not quite finished...(?)

Check out something i did in 3DSMAX almost 2 years ago... http://go.to/penk - go to 3D.

Hmmmm.... sorry, but the guy looks really fake, I don't know if that's what you were going for... but he looks like he was drawn with jumbo markers. The shading is hardly smooth, and the anatomy is way off in a few places. Sorry, but I think it needs some more work. Keep going, smudge around, do some extra shading and it'll look way better.

guys..

thanks for ur response.. actually.. i draw the guy with photoshop n later created n textured the background n some other objects with 3d studio max. The guy looks too fake compared to the objects around him.. so I decided to use filters on them so that they would blend better.. The lighting ..hmm.. I used the shading n hi-lite technique in photoshop.. still needs alot of practise i suppose.. but i really suck at lighting using 3dsmax.. Got anymore tips or suggestions?

Dylon mentioned:
"your shading is hardly smooth"
Well, that's fine. If you were going for a piece very 'digital' looking (do u get me?) the shading should be much smoother.

But if you were going for more of a 'painted' look, then that type of application of colour (colour spelled the Aussie way) is fine.

Although some anatomy may be off, it's not off so much that it's outrageous or crazy. It's sort of like Mambo art (does anyone know what that is?). So in otherwords, if the picture was *meant* to be realistic, it needs more work. But if it's meant to be a weird/unusual style of art. Then that's fine. It's good to be different and interesting.

ilmi, the pics pretty cool if you look at it from another persepective, but henrik is right, the lighting is off. There needs to be a stronger light source.

Anyway, I hope that helped shed some light on things!

Uh... What part of your image is 3d? I can't tell. Maybe the background? Definitely not the caracter.

I'm a bit dazzled....

Yeah, I didn't mean to tear up your image, just trying to help out.

If that's your style then don't change! Just keep improving, but always keep your style, and don't let anyone change you. Influence maybe, but not a total change... (I don't really know what I'm saying )

ilmi, here is the official Mambo site:
http://www.mambo.com.au

You can't really get a glimpse of much of their art because the site isn't finished.

But the shopping section is up, so take a look at some of their products (like the books) and you'll see some examples. There aren't many like I said.

The reason why you couldn't find anything on it is because it's an Australian surfing brand name. They make tshirts, watches, hats etc.. All that stuff.

I think that most people should take a look at this type of art because it's weird, but VERY cool

Check it out.
