I've been reading this forum for quite some time now, but I've hesitated to post some of my own artwork for critique... actually, not really hesitated.. it's probably due to my lazy nature.
However, with the influx of self-declared "newbies" posting their work, I guess I should too.. :-)
Here are a few: http://www.enteract.com/~darksabr/edna4.jpg
-- my latest work, scaled to half-size, as the original's for print. a school project where i had to depict parts of the book "the awakening." the highlights on the lower lip are a bit off... also, i used the hair technique described by mongoose ... thanks!
http://www.enteract.com/~darksabr/grop.jpg
-- a earlyish (few months old) interface design... probably my first use of textures in combination with burn/dodge/airbrush shading...
http://www.enteract.com/~darksabr/sin/sinhat.jpg
-- a splash image, created a month or two after grop.jpg
there's a lot more stuff, including lots of shockwave flash work and some of the music i've done at http://www.enteract.com/~darksabr/ , which isn't a personal site -- it's one i created for a gaming group i head.
comments and criticism is welcomed... actually, actively seeked....
i am but an amateur wishing to evolve my talent.
