I'd like to get rolling with this pic, but I'm sorta stumped. I draw with a mouse, and find it very difficult to actually draw out the body without brushing all over, and then 'cutting out the arms - legs etc' out of the colour instead of drawing it in.
It's blooody hard drawing with a mouse if ya didn't know =P well, aside from Mullins work
he's just plain diabolically insane 'good'.
http://anthonys.8m.com/kneelman.jpg
is the link to my work in progress.
please take a look, and give me some constructive suggestions.
don't bash the hell out of it please...
i'm under stress
hehehe

OH by the way, most of you will be like
what da fook ? how come its all blurry, and no detail. cause im sorta lost...
i dunno what to do with it.
maybe i just should work on it more, but id rather get some input now!

That's very good, it reminds me of FunBaby's work a lot.

just define all the edges first, make them look sharper, and I'm sure you'll get lots of creative ideas from there.

No, I'm not obsessed, and I don't know where you came up with hard lines. I was talking about defining edges and detail. That's what gives your pic depth.
Right?

To view the pic you have to get around the HTTP Referer: line that is sent out by the webbrowser. Since that site checks that you can't let it see what page it was linked from.

So to do it, either hit enter in your location bar, or just repaste the url into your browswer and go from there. That way the browswer has no refer line to send and the site won't say yadda yadda don't use this as a fileserver

Hehe, it kinda reminds me of my work, too. :P One pic in particular, at least... Nice. Good gesture, and nice texture.

a suggestion that i would give you would be to blow it up to 5Kx5K and do some basic refining.. <white dabs here, black dabs there,.. no color,. just shading> then when you shrink it down it will look like a masterpiece,.

5000x5000? Isn't that just a BIT excessive?

Well, i do have a 20"inch monitor, but I dunno how to even begin something at
5000x5000! Yike
Maybe i should try one day, but eek, not for this work.
It looks like I sorta left the Kneelman work for now, and I've moved on to a few other one's...I usually do that...i have alot of work on my HD, but it's almost all incomplete! lol

here are the links to a few works in progress...hope you guys have some MASSIVE suggestions =)

Embryo Girl *quite messed, i know*
basically a lil experiment with lighting and colours. I realize the girls face is mashed, and the proportion is anatomically incorrect.
Whateva! I'm not bothering with it unless I can get a good idea to revamp it up! http://anthonys.8m.com/embryo.jpg

The new work i've begun after that
weirded Kneelman! Here's the in between pic...before i scrapped the background and redrew the body...I actually have about 20 different steps in between (not different backgrounds, just different leg posture)

WARNING: Some what ADULT material,
it's a zombie woman, NO REAL DETAIL.
so don't worry about your kids *it's just a slightly warped idea* don't ask...i dunno
these things just come to me like dark visions in the night...lol

NO DETAILS *still in progress, don'tbashme*

in betweener http://anthonys.8m.com/demon1.jpg
redrawn figure... http://anthonys.8m.com/demon2.jpg

Here's another lick at the realism...
drawn with a mouse guys...so take it easy on the beatings!
*funny, i haven't been beaten yet...but i'm just afraid i will*
OBVIOUSLY, it still needs lots of work, but the basis is a large realistic picture.
The eyes need some major revamping, and so does the HARD LINING *it needs to be sharpened up*
what SUGGESTIONS do you guys have for the hair? I'd like to do a lil something like this for the hair.
HAIR example link: http://anthonys.8m.com/example.jpg

IMAGE link: http://anthonys.8m.com/girl.jpg

I used a photo as a reference, but didn't layer over it or anything spiffy.
i'm just not the champion yet...

ONCE AGAIN
copy and paste the links into your browser
my free server service sucks large for direct links.

holy hell! k, i see you're aiming for some kind of neat effect with that face expression and stuff, but right now its just scary. it kinda looks like she's been beaten with a club. ok, i suggest you round off that nose a bit and bring in some consistency with the skin tone. the mouth looks kinda unnatural the way its opened and it looks as though she just finished eating burnt bbq'd ribs, but a little edge cleaning should fix that. k, you already mentioned the eyes for the hair i kinda like the direction you were taking it with the original pic. kinda messy and and long. you might want to try adding a bit of make up on her face tho. it might help since it looks like your reference was a supermodel. a beaten one

Smack my ass and call me Nancy if this isnt Uma Thurman. Those lips are very realistic and look just like them. Not sure bout the eyes, but I think she has them blue also. Cool pic, pretty realistic even though needs some work yet.

Hell ya you guys got it right,
I was trying to aim for a mix between
this girl that i used to know, and Uma Thurman. Even tho...you might be surprised at this. I didn't use a reference of either.
In fact i used a L'Oreal advertisement girl.
Basically just looked at the facial structure and what not. Too bad we all don't have our own personal models *some call them girlfriends* to sit down and sketch out.

I'm still working on it...but i'll hold off on most of the hair and heavy duty work t'ill i get my tablet. Can any of you draw realism with a mouse? If so, i'd like some feedback from you! Cause it's too easy just to say
...fix the nose, and the hair.
You really have to come out with a method on HOW! Sorry it's not like tablet drawing, you don't just say 'fix' and it can be done.
you gotta help out with a method!
well...unless your the champion
which i'm not yet

REFERENCE picture used: didn't use layers over top...it's pretty obvious. http://anthonys.8m.com/reference.jpg
sorry its 332k

Oh and in reply to the post about the girl being beaten in the head with a club.
Both Uma and this girl always had that look, I just tried to capture it =)

ppl that draw with mouse *aka craig mullins*
i need help with the eyes! please feedback!

the hair i'll fix later...but feedback is good! i think the lips are pretty much done.
maybe a few tweaks. the eyebrows look blotchy
but ok.

obviously still needs work
boo

Well...i messed around with the realism image...no detail still, but added some
*sketchy* hands and hair...to help out the expression of the face. Now she looks sorta scared or in a breakdown.

still on it...
