Found this image, probably the only thing i have showing the steps that didnt get lost in the crash. Its only 3 steps but some of you were asking about it, so i thought i'd just post it so you can see at least till i get a real tutorial going.

I can barely see how you can get from 1 to 3 much less 1 to the final. That's interesting, I never though of drawing an image like you just showed...very cool! |

Is that the same type of method you use for most of your work? Or just for that one inparticular?
Its very different to how I imagined the steps you took on that image

now THAT's an interesting approach... I never though of that before. And obviously it had a great look after, too! |

Uhmm.... okay, now Im really lost. What exactly you tried to do with those steps? Why the #1 was all in B&W? Its great to see your steps, but it would also be really great if you explain them!

its in b&w, because that's the step! he did it in monochrome, then added the red colour at the centre of the face and faded it into the shadows, basically... |

I started in grayscale because i was more interested in the light and darks than in color.
I have found though, starting in black and white then moving to color sooner than later in the process seems to render better results....if I leave the image till the very end with all the detail then try to color it, the colors usually dont come out as vibrant.

Wo! It's, like, painting acrylics or something. It is easy to start from dark and black to light and colors. (That's atleast what I've learned anyways from the painting class).
Cheers!

Cool way to draw a picture!
I've started doing a pic. the same way myself, just to test the technique.
