This might be a silly question, but...
When will Mickey Mouse and the rest of those Disney characters be public domain. |

I've heard on the radio not to long ago that copyrights last life plus 50 years. But I think the Disney corporation owns the characters now, not Walt Disney. So I wouldn't get my hopes up about the Mickey gang being public domain anytime soon. |

Now its life plus 90 years, with major changes every 20 years or so to copyright law. |

I think copyright expiration is a load of crap.
Making things public domain is one thing, but saying that just because it's been 50 years your hard earned money and defining creation is now up for grabs to whatever idiot wants it sucks. |
