And are there any that you're looking forward to?

Some of my favourites from over the years are:

Fist of the Northstar
Akira
Ghost in the Shell
Batman: The Animated Series
He-man (original series)
Galaxy Rangers
Inspector Gadget
Evangelion
Martian Sucessor Nadesico
Project A-ko
Blue Gender
Transformers: The Movie
Streetfighter Alpha: The Movie
Starship Troopers: The Animated Series
Space Adventure Cobra

I'm really looking forward to The Animatrix which is a series of 10 minute shorts influenced by The Matrix and directed by a number of influential directors, Mamoru Oshii (Patlabor, Ghost in the Shell) I think is one.
And also a new Evangelion movie which should be released over here sometime soon.

The only two animated series I've ever liked are as follows (in order of preference):

Gundam Wing
Escaflowne (which was cancelled a while ago, but not before I saw the whole twenty-something episodes that were listed at the station's website)

How could I forget Ulysses31 one of my all time favourites.

I've never heard of Beserk sounds interesting. Gundam Wing was a cool series, well what I've seen of it.
I always wanted to see Cowboy Beebop and Trigun, I've heard and read alot about both.

I remember a series that was out at about the same time as Visionaries I think and the only thing I remember about it was that one of the heroes would call out and be enveloped in a blue beam and green armour would strap onto him which allowed him to transform into a motorbike.
Anyone know the name?

Batman: the animated serie is good.
But my new favorite is Funky cops.
It's a French serie that's really cool.
It's about 2 cops in san fransisco that solves crimes in the day and disco dance in the night. It's like a mix between dirty harry and saturday night fever (lot of humor and irony to)
They also use both "normal" animation and computer graphics. Kinda like a Gorillaz video.

Thundercats
a bit of G.I. Joe

But do you remember The animated conan show? With the phoenix that liked pomagranites (sp) and all that jazz? I loved that and the king arthur and the knights of justice I think. Both were on at the same time.

I don't watch enough animation anymore though =(

Of course! Jayce and the Wheeled Warriors!

Used to think it was really freaky how they 'grow' the monster trucks off trees.

Hey thanks for the link ceenda.
Jezebel: I always seem to forget Watership Down.
Max Kulich: I thought that was a game on the Sega Megadrive?
Dhab: I remember seeing that as a treat when I was in primary school. I seem to remember it being quite dark and moody.
Danny: Jayce and the Wheeled Warriors was cool especially the theme song.

Another two I've just thought of:

Zoids
Earthworm Jim -that always cracked me up.

Jayce & Co was really cool altho the boss used to scare me....

While I was over in europe we had those as saturday mornings :

Thundercats (Cosmocats)
Cobra - ultra violent AND mature
Ken of the North Star (Ken le survivant)- ultra violent
Saint Saya (Les chevaliers du Zodiaque) - probably my favorite

as for North America :
Gargoles - The 5 first episodes really rocked and then on a few others before Disney thought it would produce it for a "younger audience"
Dexter's Lab
Chicken n' cow - the first season
REN AND STIMPY!!!!
Rex The Runt - stop motion but it counts... right ?
The Animaniacs - first and second season.
Ronin Warriors
Samurai pizza cats

And what's the name of that obsucre show late at night... everyone's having a physical difformity and live in the industrial part of town ? I saw only 2 eps but it was hilarious.

Goodness thare are so many others... I now realise how much time I've been spending in front of the TV.. But it served me well !!
