Well, even if this has nothing to do with the original topic of this thread, i feel like I have to comment since mj is now being discussed .
Umm, yeah. Legalize it!
Seriously. You know how much money the gov't will save (and in turn, make) from legalizing mj? They can use it toward many things, health, education, a better war on REAL harmful drugs. MJ is not that bad at all. Drinking poses a much stronger threat to anyone than smoking a bowl does. And yet no one would ever think about prohibition now. Whats the deal? MJ's only illegal cause of some stupid American racism against mexicans way back when. The dumbass policies have stayed all this time and nobody realizes how stupid it is.
And as far as mj making people stupid. Sorry, I can't agree, only from my own personal experiences. Kids get into habbits because of who they hang out with. Honestly, it's how I started smoking weed. But anyone who is stupid after smoking pot for a while was stupid beforehand anyway. I went for about a year smoking all the time, at least once a day. At the same time, though, my marks in school didn't drop, and when I finally decided what I was doing was pointless and wanted to cut back, I had no problem. I still casually smoke to this day, and is it fucking my life up? No. I'm in college now, having a blast, not some bum on the street.
Gigatron, a lot of the stuff you say is bs, you're making pot sound much worse than it ever could be. And when a kid does something stupid or bad, and you find out "OH he smokes weed? WELL THEN", why do you automatically realte it to drugs?
Anyway, f00k it.
God bless Canada and god bless Pot.

medicinal...riiiiight
yeah it'll be used for medicinal purposes
any body who hates america is probably at least in part jealous of how much freedom we have, so what if we can't smoke pot, we can send hate mail to our president and live
>P
ya goobers
bush is human, he doesn't have the power to do anything really, once over a hundred other people decide on something, they send him a peice of paper, he signs it yes or no, if he doesn't sign it for a few weeks it's automatically passed as if he did. he's a figurehead you gimps, of course that means he's also your scapegoat, why dont'cha shoot him if ya hate him so much
pot is bad, it alters your perception of reallity, it's not nearly as bad as alchohol, you're right, they should make that illegal to, and smoking, what's your point, are you saying you want to back track? all things move in steps, wether you go backwards or forwards.
let's see, my grandma got hit by a drunk driver, in a semi, little old lady, big ol 18 wheeler, couldn't of been pretty, my uncle got drunk one night so he decided to walk hom instead of driving, he got hit by a drunk driver and died on the spot, one of my best friends was out mudding, the drunk driver that chopped her in half by pinning her between cars still regrets going to that party.
my gay unckle's heart stopped one night because he drank so much and smoked so much pot, these are the reasons the limitations are placed on our freedom, I think that they're good. |

I would bet that Nevada legalizes recreational weed before Canada does. The prevailing mentality over there is that the federal government owes them one after sticking the nuke dump at Yucca. The state police union has already come out in favor of it.
Nevada already has legal prostitution and gambling . . . it's a regular model of civil liberties. Weed ain't a big stretch . . .
What's funny is that it's right next to Utah, a state where you can't buy alcahol or dance on a sunday, and pornography is illegal.
The U.S. is not morally congruous . . . its probably easy to forget that if you're outside of it. |

Yeap
Besides, why drink or smoke when it's much easier not to do it? And besides money can be spent in much better ways.
Although fine folks from Prodigy wount tell you that :O |

1) Ok for one thing aids is not a gay disease... straight people get it too.
2) WTF are you ignorant idiots calling each other gay for? Are you so homophobic that you consider it an insult, and not simply an untrue statement about your sexuality?
3) Bush... what has he done that has actually benefited the US? The economy is going down the drain, his policies both foreign and home are simply.... well simpleminded.
4) Tony blair = Bush's trained poodle.
5) Bush isnt all bad, at least he fits in that nice comfy oval office chair... though he slouches nonetheless.
6) Go ahead and flame me all you want, its a fact that since bush took office not one person had praised his intelligence or charisma on air... |

Today i got the nicest idea how to get rid of marijuana problem (deputees and presidents, pay attention right here).
The government spends a lot of money to take away the pot in large quantities, and then burn it! My idea is that after taking away the weed they should send it to the problem spots and sell it out of shops for the same price as the real dealers sell it for (too low = dealers would buy it from the shop and resell for higher price, too high = people would buy from the dealers and not shops).
This way the weed is take away from dealers and goes to the shop, dealers go out of business so eventially the level of underground weed will be the minimum possible. |

1) the word gay is not just defined as "a homosexual" in fact the word gay has many meanings. and not untill recently has the word "gay" been used to define someone as homosexual. if you crack open a dictionary, you will find that the word "gay" is also defined as: brilliant in colors; excited with merriment; manifesting sportiveness or delight; inspiring delight; livery; and mery.
but thats not all... gay is also defined as: dissolute, licentious, given to social pleasures, loose; dissipated; and lewd.
the fact is, the word "gay" had negative conotations surrounding it before anyone started using the word to describe someone as a homosexual.
if someone said homosexuals are gay...the speaker could be saying: "homosexuals are licentious." and yes that might be an insult, but it is also a proper use of the word.
someone who is given to social pleasures, who is "loose", who has no morals or ethics, is more apt to contract/give the aids virus. so yes, aids is gay.
2)just because someone says something you dont like doesnt make them some freudian kill my dad fuck my mom homosexual cocksmoker.
3)blah
4)blah
5)?
6)blah. oh, wait....flame on |
