Storm of the Century...
but I beg to differ, Shawshank Redemption and The Green Mile are excellent if not great movies, emm... maybe you're refering to the made for TV ones. |

thanks for clearing that out for me sharper image It's a movie dedicated solely for supermodels which explains the poor quality. |

Lunatique.. okay, you don't like "the pillow book", but what do you think about other greenaway-films?
f.e. "drowning by numbers" or "the draughtsman's contract" (one of my alltime favourites)..? |

catahoochee- Pillow Book was my first Greenaway film, and it traumatized me so much that I never wanted to watch another of his films. BUT, Julia Ormond was in one of his films(Baby of Macon), so I MIGHT watch it just for her.

The Order with Van Damme.
Damn, we knew it was going to be a crappy movie, but from the cover, at least we thought it'd be in a somewhat cool setting.
Cover has nothing at all to do with the movie. The movie in itself is just about the worst pile of crap I've ever seen - and I can say this with certainty since I've not watched Glitter or Battlefield Earth, otherwise I have a feeling they'd be contenders.
[Edit] Oh, and don't say that all Stephen King movies suck =P Stand By Me and The Shawshank Redemption are Stephen King movies - and two of the best movies I've ever seen.

Shawshank is one of my favourite movies as well. I had no idea Stephen King was in any way involved, though. I'm thoroughly impressed.
It is impossible for ANY movie starring Van Damme to be ANYTHING but total garbage. I maintain this stance. ![](images/smiles/icon_smile.gif) |

stephen king movies are in general somewhat entertaining...but Trucks, The Langoliers, Children of the Corn 2 and 3, The Tommyknockers, The Lawnmower Man, and The Dark Half...were all kinda sucky
but he did make some good ones:
Misery, The Shining, Stand by Me, The Shawshank Redemption, Dolores Claiborne...and a lot of mediocre movies: The Green Mile, Apt Pupil, Pet Sematary, Carrie, ect
bad movies can be good sometimes, i really liked Bad Taste and Meet the Feebles (peter jackson.) im hoping the next lotr movie has a scene where gandalf kicks a giant evil toddler in the head. |

Actually, there were two.
One that Stanley Kubrick directed based off the book (Good) and that Stephen King didn't like very much. In addition, Stephen King then proceeded to make his own version, which quite honestly sucked <insert favourite animal here> genitals. Lots of good effects, I will grant you that, but as far as a movie is concerned... Nah. |

Oh, that made-for-TV movie with the guy from Wings? Completely forgot about that (I wonder why). I wouldn't even classify that as a movie.... more like a pile of roadrunner feces.

I like almost any movie.
I look at each differently and mostly independantly. Some are made to be like masterpieces, while others are for pure entertainment. I enjoy both. However, when some one trys to make a 'good' film, and don't do a good job, we are talking quality then. Don't knock a movie you didn't enjoy. Judge it upon the quality that was intended. |

General Confusion- Hahahahaha. Did the crew know they were working on a POS? I worked on Robot of Mars for 2 weeks, and the ENTIRE staff knew it was a POS. We all laughed at the writer/director behind his back because the man was a complete no talent hack. |

space truckers - http://us.imdb.com/Title?0120199 <- lmao can u belieave this shit it has a 4.4/10 rating it should more like 1/10 WTF! WORST FUCKEN MOVIE EVER and i still get nightmares from the mechanical penis. and it wasnt me who picked it, my dad wanted to get some new movie he never saw and the 'cover' looked nice (lmao never judge... anything by its cover :P) http://images.amazon.com/images/P/B00000IC5K.01.LZZZZZZZ.jpg the artist of this cover should be shot for even making some shit like this i hope he rots in hell with his money or something lmao waste of MY money
super nova - http://us.imdb.com/Title?0134983 and ya there is this... i just got tricked into watching by listening to the fake critiques and the CG (which now suck ass but were 'neat' then in 2000). |

Interesting story about North.
I've got a similar story except it goes the other way around. We were doing some animation for a film being shot in Australia. They weren't giving us much information about it but we saw some footage here and there and some work in progress animation that some other studios were doing. It all looked pretty silly but it paid well so we kept working on it.
It was The Matrix. ![](images/smiles/icon_smile.gif) |

Pokemon the movie - Pokemon spend the movie beating each other to pieces and then go all bambi-teary-eyed and say "Oh, the fighting is so awful!".
Police Academy 2 and onwards - Theme recycling at it's best.
Judge Dredd - Some nice stuff, like the ABC Robot, but that is NOT Dredd. Read the comics. Dredd is a tongue-in-cheek fascist anti-hero.
Space Jam - Warner Brothers / Nike / Merchandise-tastic!
Shrek - (I'm gonna get into trouble for this one). Bad characterisation ("oooooh, I'm a scarrrry ogre!"). Mike Myers talent wasted on a generally unfunny, uninspired film which could have been great. Riding on the success of Toy Story, Bugs et al, thinking that if you pump out the same CG pretentious joke-fest it's going to be just as funny the next time round. I get enough hassle from my Shrek-fanatic brother, so spare me the flame war... ![](images/smiles/icon_wink.gif) |

star ship troopers = saved by the bell meets aliens...
Worst shark movie has got to be jaws 3, I can't believe those effects past, especially the end scene where the shark rams through the window, that was bad...
How about plan 9 from outer space, or night of the triphids? Those were realy bad to.

Eight Legged Freaks (Yes you can say I was stupid to see it but I didn't even know what it was about or saw a preview!)
Independence Day (Nice visuals but like Starship troopers visuals don't make a good movie)
Signs (The biggest dissapointment ever, the ending made the whole movie a piece of shit)
The Patriot (American Braveheart, just a million times worse) |
