Mon> Cool work. Smile
wol> Haa. I guess it's the design of the bot standing behind the guy that kind of give off the Aaron Beck vide? I didn't put much thought into the design and just go with whatever comes to mind. Razz And got to agree with lakka. Cool brush work. Smile
All> Thanks guys! You guys are too kind!

30 min each. Someone started this page, Daily Splitpaint, over at facebook. This is done base off their daily topic. The problem with doing 30 min paint, it is as if I am rushing for a project. My brian just go blank. Haa. I guess I need to do it a few more times before i get use to it. Some of the heavy weights are posting there. Sparth posted a few. For anyone who may be interested, you can check it out. Smile

sweet brushwork wol! I feel like you hit the nail on the head with the defined/obscure balance

Raytoh, it's strange how the chat bubbles make me go much deeper in to the image/enviornment Smile After reading, it felt like everything came alive

Thanks Lakka. Haa. Love your last piece.

Two for today. Doing all this 30 minutes painting kind of force me to think about my mental process. Not sure if I'm enjoying it because it is very rush in nature.

Nice stuff you guys, big up!
Lakka and raytoh- thanx a lot! I'm trying to replicate the feeling of painting in oils!

Raytoh - Yeah I think it was your robot that brought his stuff to mind. Smile and his art is dope btw, same thing with that other weta workshop designer christian pearce. Have you seen elysium? the design on those robots and the mercenary airship is killer! So that your work has a resemblence to theirs is very positive Very Happy

Lakka - Loved the one with the tree and the light orb, very atmospheric! Very Happy

RayToh, cheers man, great posts!

Tonight's sketch, drinking wine and listening to silverchair out in the wilderness. I'm on the laptop so no guarantee that the color/contrast is right Smile

Lakka> Love the brush stroke for the last two pieces.
Nide> Cool
carbofos> Love the lighting.

One 30 min speed for today. Addictive but don't think I'll be doing any more. I enjoy thinking rather than rushing. Razz

Made two sketches today, and i learnt a shitload, mainly about resolution and the size of the canvas and how that alters the paint tools, however the road there was rocky, and the bottom image is pretty much me painting waaaaay to big. So i started a new one that turned into the sci-fi soldier, and on that one I pretty much used every tool painter has on offer!

Lakka -thanxs a bunch yo! Very Happy

Mon - Thanx man! Glad you like it Smile Your killing it with your loose brush strokes !
