quick-ish photostudy. I think too well lit photos like this one was are not good to study from, because there's no way of knowing how it was lit and where all the crazy reflectors were. Also the instagram colors don't help..

Since I have so much vacation still left, might just paint something instead of lazying around. This one is done with oil on A3 canvas. I figured to try something else than landscapes for a change. Sorry for the bad quality.

flipped and slightly cropped version wasn't completely awful either

Ranath: love this loose style you're developing.

Instinctively, I prefer the flipped version, just because it reads from left-to-right and that's the way my brain is wired to read stuff. There will always be a reason to deliberately design against that instinct, however.

Sumaleth: Thanks, I also think the flipped one might be better, but it was painted in right-to-left format. So can't really get over that and accept that the flipped is better Wink

heh, i get this feeling that the helicopters might turn towards me in the one you posted, while on the flipped one they are merrily breezing past Very Happy Looks great!









I know I havn't been posting here that long, but just flipped back a couple hundred pages, getting me all nostalgic Smile







I'm having this really annoying bug in PS where the BG outside the image keeps flashing... it got fixed by turning gfx acceleration or something off, but now it's flashing even without it, it's like a strobelight, which is guess is kind of cool, but still pretty annoying.... Any symphatizers/fixers?
