Hey Sijun! Glad you're still around! Well - here is my 3-year post!

Thanks Suma! You're still around! Nice to see! Pretty much only the speed painting thread is firing on all cylinders around here anymore, hm?

Btw- I'm finally making a new webpage again - after like 10 years!

Site looks great. You've been keeping busy.

Sijun forums have had some quiet patches for the last year or two, but since December it's been just the core team keeping things going.

The speedpainting thread remains a hell of a thing though. Think of how many digital artists working today can trace their origins back to the early pages of that thread. Might write a book one day. Smile

Well - it's nice to see that Sijun is still around at all. The granddaddy of art forums has outlived all of it's spawns!
Funny enough, I never posted once in the speed painting thread - maybe because I'm so sloooow!

If you make a book out of the speedpainting thread, it'd have 8500 pages! But more seriously - has anyone archived it? I'm sure the early pages must be all broken links now.

People have tried to archive it at times, but I don't know what happened to those projects. They probably never lasted more than a year, let alone more than a decade.

But yeah, most of the early images are dead, and I do wonder about it from time to time. Those internet-archive websites are pretty patchy when it comes to images, but they do fill in some of the gaps.

Ha Shizo! Corrected that! Glad to see you're still hanging out here! Thanks for that!

I also have to say that I still like how relaxed things are around here. All those other high traffic art forums are so high strung and a pain to deal with! And the artists all paint like Spooge these days! Wink

Thanks guys! Appreciate the positive feedback!

Btw - how about a blast from the past - anyone remember my old site from the late 90s - early 2000s ??

I had a backup - check it out!

Saw your thoughts on lens flares there and had to check imdb to see if you worked on either of the Star Trek reboot films. Smile

jesus christ, and here i randomly stumble upon the sijun forums for no reason and I see you post here Loki, I remember you.. you were one of my inspirations at the time! It must have been 10 years since i was here? What a stroll down memory lane.. and fantastic to see all those who started out here, most are very well experienced in the field now.

I am very much curious where our Dhabih Eng who made all this possible is up to these days anyway!
