a blcokin and finish, the drawing is terrible as i got the cup all wrong, i'm starting to 'get' starting at the midtones though, i really had a tough time before cause i wasn't thinking of the first marks as mere placeholders

One for today. The background is base on a photo i was doing for practise. The front seem to be abit empty so i added in a random character just to spice the piece up abit.

Rinthe- yes, i notice something about your work that was evident in mine awhile back, and thats that i only thought of direct brush-to-canvas painting. There are certain "tricks" you can figure out in order to get certain effects, like planning a crime. i'll do an overpaint of your knight and list some of the "tricks". It comes down to exp. in the end, your experience with experimentation!
Raytoh- I know what you mean about motivation, i was just in a downcrest, and am now feeling the rise out of it. I think they generally result from some sort of confusion, digesting certain information. Its a good time to just sketch for the heck of it, the problems will work themselves out on the page.
