I stopped using Gimp and purchased Artweaver now instead, what a joke with Gimp, you can't exactly expect users to keep use something that they don't develop, they claimed to not have had any developers on the windows application for a long time, during that time the gimp was malfunction. I guess we all gotta come to realization sometime....

Artweaver seems like a nice little application, a painter clone. Someone of you using it?

is there a trial version for artweaver? is it heavy on the pc? painter has been a real pain in the ass with the resources it seems to need....

Lakka, yea there is the free version but I gotta really recommend the plus version. You get all features and that for only 29 euro...
Here:
http://www.artweaver.de/

It doesn't seem too resource consuming on my computer, the software doesn't seem to be 64 bit though, I guess it works pretty good unless one have to work very big.

Wow now I am starting to make love to this software, wonderful to just smack colors around, feels like the old oil days.... Twisted Evil

I like that one whom, very simple, but you can definitely feel an atmosphere going on !

A quick one, not felling very inspired

seems like a nice program, in painter the tools sometimes tend to blend in to eachother after playing with the settings out of habit, stricly different tools in this thing, seems to need less cpu also...

Give it another shot tomorrow while i feels less tireds :p

There's always amazing work here. God I wish I had the drive to keep painting everyday.

Because of my visit here earlier today, I whipped up one.

Starting to look at the settings more now as I felt the brushes was a bit blurry, found out that there's a hard edge and such. Still uncomfortable with the software, gonna take a lot of mileage I believe to shake of the old habits of another software.....

MatejaPetkovic, appreciate the tip, gonna look it up. ....Feel I wanna give this artweaver a fair chance though, think maybe it can be pretty good if I can become comfortable with it. Do you use Painter for your works?

ZM, thanks man Smile

leszek - good to see You workin too man! Cool

Mateja - your thumbs are really nice

whom - really dig the colors you're putting in here! I also try Artwaver a bit today - nice to have almost the same "main" shortcuts, as in PS.

From me 2 movie sketches, shots taken from Prometheus..:
