Looking forward to Ridley Scott's Prometheus. Did this for fun. Hermet/0. Wanted to go with the name, Hermes ( geek messager god), but I change the "S" to "T" instead. Thought it looks cooler that way. Not exactly a speedy.

Some quick 15-20 minutes a piece environment sketches, all based on the same theme. Used a few custom Photoshop brushes of my own, and a few from Ben Andrews http://ben-andrews.deviantart.com/

Just got a painting app for my ipad (procreate, I really like it btw) and produced these in around 10-15 minutes each. There is probably not much meat here to discuss but I have very little experience with painting and I'd welcome any tips/criticisms/etc.
Also I just want to say that users here have constantly inspired my art, such as it is, for years now. Keep the good shit coming.

whom-cool! sounds like cgsociety has a good theme thread, i might head over there... i think scifi is great for assassins
shrunk a recent one and redun it, im trying to think of what can make a loose pic work, get form showing with light in a broad way, and hint materials. Then look at the pic abstractly or do a test rub out to see where cool edges and shapes are -are they where you want them??? do they corrospond with key elements?

Howie, awesome.
Lemur, yea you should do that, you have a nick over at Cgsociety? hmm can't remember... lol
I just finished my dragon piece after a lot of noodling around, especially with the scales. Finally have something for my portfolio in Cgsociety. Maybe you guys remember some of my sketches of dragons back in April?

lemur, i hope you dont mind i took your picture to overpaint. Probably last one for long time since I have overpainted works of most ppl here
Interesting to get into your "world" when I painted inside your picture. One finds more things than one assumes. I love your complex lighting, it made my brains to spin a bit textures work are awesome, too bad i overpainted that it disappeared in order to experiment with light.
To push to edge of my skills is always a challenge.

SANSAN : So great ! Halo / sparth inspiration maybe ? :d
Trying to do character instead of environment for once...it's not easy
the proportions feel a bit off but I can't really tell where exactly _________________ http://astroukoff.blogspot.fr/ |
