I realized that it is a tad better to save bigger, always gives the possibilty to develop the piece at a later stage that way. Twisted Evil

Whom, just a suggestion. How about changing the stance of the character to a really wide & dynamic one? The open doors of the car suggests it has been stopped in a hurry IMO.

The angle on this piece looks really good. Must be challenging though. Smile

nice work, everybody!

quintus, damn cool works.. for last piece, i liked first piece much (car) because mood feeling, then in the second thick lines destroyed the mood, i felt so. I hope you dont mind i created a piece based on your piece Wink I couldnt call it as overpaint but you get idea that thinner lines still can keep that mood feeling like in your first piece.

that car reminded much of Audi Suv since they are so nice looking.

dchan-awesome! you guuuud

whom- you're drawing the crits today huh? i Like the first better, sorta what tomasis said about the thick lines, but rather than adding thinner lines or any detail i would focus on refining the basic blobs you got- or keep the same amount of effortlessness/detail but try to improve how it all goes together. it can be real cool in technical subjects when the big shapes come close together to make very precise 'negative' lines, muhuha

paintin evil things-

lemur, i add to make things more clear. it is same thing as you talked about. It is needed thinner lines to define blobs/negative space Razz

thanks for putting better words. I'd have use "edge" instead of "thinner line" that is more confusing Embarassed

sorry for confusion.

searched for the older progress file. this is the oldest i have, not much to show of earlier progress, Sad but i like this piece too. Mathewesque Very Happy

one thing I want to tell about Quintus pieces. The good thing is keep playing with simple brushes long enough to work out a good image like he does. Kudos, Matthew! Smile

Mathew: Not done any 3D work for a while now, for the moment having fun doing the 2D stuff, looking to come back to it at some point and wade through some polygons lol, thanks for the encouragement Smile

What a nice surprise to log on here and see that you guys are taking your time to straighten me up, I sure need it lol. Very Happy
Overall I can see what you guys mean, I think with some more time I might be able to clean it up a little bit better; I might get back to the piece.
I am currently saving some works with potential into a artwork folder....

Samhell, can you show in an overpaint? Not exactly sure if you mean bending the character forward or not?

Tomasis, wow those overpaints are really good, thanks. Smile Yea I know about the lines. Smile

Lemur, if you got the time it would be interesting to see an overpaint from you on the piece.

Simple scribble, time is the essence of realizing not having enough of it perhaps? ...hmmm Anyone of you that have watched "in time" with justin timberlake?
