They're On The Roof...(the mp3 is inside this folder.)
Hey y'all. This song isn't quite finished yet, but It's progressing fast.
I want to share it with you though, because feedback helps me work faster...and I need the support and criticism right now.
my productivity level had hit a huge low in the past few months for a few reasons: My g/f and I broke up the other day and I had been working full time on music for other people the past few months. Mixing work and play can sometimes destroy your drive aswell as splitting your time/attention/etc between yourself and someone else can too.
Any feedback would be greatly appreciated. =) |

How did you do the trilling for the strings?
The arrangement/timing gets a bit messy towards the end. I think you can either take the 16th note violins out, or make them more prominant so they stick to the overall timing more. |

Hey, Lunatique.
the Tremellos on the strings are just strings with tremello on them. =) No secret trick or anything.
Yeah, I understand about those 16 note violins. I'm just gonna try making them seem more patterend to fix that problem. Maybe it will work. *shrug*
Here's another update on the song:

HEhe great eery song. Tremolos are great, especially in disco hehe.
I think the instrument at 1:02 in left channel is poopy (sounds like lo-tech synth).
By the way, why didn't you reply to my mail and nice VST instruments that i sent you? Disrespect :0 |

Yo, Bum:
1. Heh, as lo-tech synth it may sound, that's just what it happens to sound like. =P Can't really change it from being what it is...but I'll see if I can make it seem less, 'Lo-tech' or replace it with a similar instrument that's better.
2. Yeah, Thanks for the vsts, they were ok. =) I always love playing with new stuff though. The Wasp is the same as the OzO A in Buzz but the Slayer sounds pretty good...I'll stick to just recording a real guitar though for now. |

Forget what i just said. I appologize for being a dirty stinkin' bum, it didn't really sound as poopy as i said. You can fix it up with some glue.. Anyways i didnt hear any guitar sounds in your sings yet. Whore.

This piece is quite decent, sorry good.
I'm really feeling the engimatic atmosphere.
You got the tremolos on violins going,
your using a nice scale as well (wish i knew what it was).
Your really using the horns to your full advantage nice cresendos and decresendos
But i'm just waiting for it to pick up tempo.
Only thing I can recommend is to listening to the main theme of men in black 1, the composer has the same idea as you I think, altho he does pick up the pace. |

Oh wait wait, did it have any hiphop beat in it?! If it didn't you should add, cause that previous classic song that had beat added was pretty good heh heh. |

Shizo: 6 steps ahead of you, my man. I had already uploaded a small Downtempo Mix teaser that I quickly 'shat out' in ACID.
Visionary: Yeah, I've heard the song you're speaking of and enjoy Danny Elfman's work very much. There are a few similarities, I guess...and the song is still unfinished, so I will take your comment into mind as I extend the song. psyk0-speed evil.

Ohyeah, Shizzy: By the way; at the moment this guy is letting me borrow his Korg Triton LE.(and if he doesn't pay for it then his girl is gonna sell it to me for cheap, woot!)
So if there are any sounds off of it that you know of and want, i'll sample them for you. |

OMG you would do that for me?!! Weeeee!
I really dont know anything about Triton though, other than that it's very expensive and that it makes those little Korean pop sounds that Lunatique really adores heheh.
But if it has nice prodigy/hiphop-like drum sounds (like a whole kit without Toms) then i'd like that
I really dont know what else it has. |
