Couldn't get myself into the cars deal, but I'm excited to see the october theme love the PETA car samhell, that looks like it was fun! |

@Sampster: Thanks! Though I have to give a lot of the credit to my wife, she suggested the Hippie look for the car.
@Sumaleth: Not sure if this has been said out loud enough, but thank you for these monthly themes. They have been a lot of fun, entertaining, educational and just pure awesome.
As a side note it would be interesting to see if the creative energy of Sijun could be somehow harnessed for a commercial project. As an example from the top of my head, the speedpainting threads alone could produce a lot of unique stories and content for an artbook. |

Thanks to samhell for saving another thread.
I'm thinking that, with this result and past duds, that themes involving creativity are a bad idea. Maybe they feel too much like homework. _________________ Art Links Archive -- Artists and Tutorials |

You are welcome Sumaleth and I so would have loved to do more ( a lamborghini Countach & the A-team Van were in my thoughts), but I'm sure as it was with many others, September was a ridiculously busy month.
*sobs a little from the memories of work related stress *
Maybe it is more of a question of willingness to post (meaning I see mostly familiar names on each thread) and finding the time to participate? It might be that I am oversimplifying the whole case, but I am a scandinavian blonde after all, so my thought patterns are not that complex.
*cough*
But in any case, I personally find the monthly challenges to be a very interesting way to test my creativity and professionalism. I like to think about them as illustration assignments and try to perform accordingly. Just the level of involvement varies from theme to theme, well and of course the available time. |
