milano- its been awhile eh? im doin good your life studies are so cool, how do you get so cool
Nide-thanks! If i was you with this landscape i'd probly push the differences, especially in value with the shadow and lit parts and textural differences. Of course look whose talking, i got lost in the midtones that last one
Tomasis- i know you're joking, but man I'm a novice. Whenever Jones posts here its like a master pirate sailing into harbor, "whoah, its Jaime Jones, the magnificent scourge of the seven seas!" anyways, make sure to post the naked drawings haa.
Absorber-thanks dude, haha its actually CS brushes. I'm 5 versions behind, but its surprisingly easy to get the painterly feel- paint something and then paint over it differently, don't just cover it up though, let elements show through. Also layer carve from brushstrokes with different erasers (i tend to abuse it though, its easy to abuse). You can also use smudge tool on single strokes on a layer to add variation. The second one is acrylic-the white spot is where my cat pawed at it lol
If i could give you a crit I would say the light isn't reading, which means you don't really understand whats going on lightwise. Light is something it really takes time to think about and rationalize away from the painting. Its probly a good idea to find some good ref pictures and analyze the light in them and try to apply what you've learned-not copy them, but try to get an understanding.
Lakka-coolness as always

Leopard Snow and alyssa milano> Nicee.~
Absorber> Haa. He's holding onto a holochip? of some sort. It's all random. Not much thought behind the stuff i put in.
Bierberg> Love the color mood.
Tomasis, Nide and Lakka> Thanks. Lakka. Love the experiment you are doing.
Quintus Dias> Thanks Quintus. Been trying to just push thing around abit to understand stuff. Tiring. Sometime i just don't even know when I'm heading. Thanks for sharing man. Really appreciate it.
Lemur> That's some very nice, hmph, poos. Haa. Great stuff as usual. Love the wizard character in the latest piece.
All that is not mention above> Great stuff, and keep them coming.

Thanks guys!!
@notaf1nga, I love the lighting & details. Gorgeous! Only one thing could have made that piece better, and that is a big hulking killer-robot in the bg. But that is only my opinion. ^____^
@Lemur, I Love the wizard pic. Very dynamic & intense scene. |

Last night I read "Hellboy: The crooked man" and while its a fantastic read, it also has some really nice imagery. Richard Corben is doing the drawing and he's really better than he's even been in my opinion (always liked him, but now even more). This sketch is me trying to paraphrase one of the panels (that probably doesn't really look like this but this is what's in my head).
Chupacabra, nice one dude hope all is well man
notaf1nga, great colors, i can feel the crisp air.
alyssa milano, looks very accurate! _________________ www.mattiassnygg.com

I always find it so damn cheesy when people draw lightning bolts or thunderstorms. It's like the one of a million wallpaper-shit. But still, I'm currently in a nice thunderstorm and I love those. I love the sound of it, the lightning, the force and the danger. I love thunderstorms!!! (and rain). My lights are all out and my screen is dimmed so I hope this painting is still a bit good. This is actually what I see at the moment.
Real quick; 10 / 15 minutes
