Tomasis-keep it up with those b&w's!

Raytoh- ah, its fair, I was stalking your blog since awhile ago! Looking at your robot sketch, I really like the idea of referencing a photo but not copying it...opens up real understanding of form and light I think.

Sukhoi-thats rad, knights with guns can't go wrong.

Sup_Ben-haha, niiice, knights with guns can't go wrong!

jOuey-awesome, I like that crazy egyptian mask the best.

Been sketching, tried to keep up with the horse idea, dunno what the crap this guy is doin with the reins lol

Tomasis, you're too kind, thank you. Very Happy love this latest one, real neat that. Directional rendering always makes it interesting.

Sup_Ben, btw, yours is really good, real good; kept looking at it many times. damn. Shocked

Experiment, still zero control over brush handling.

matthew-that latest one is awesome. One thing about your work I think is cool is that your brushwork is very wild but it always reads nicely.

Raytoh-you make me wanna loosen up my sketches,i love that environment!

Lakka-thankyou! the figure is cool, reminds me of an alien abduction Cool

some bizarre ones, I figure now that I want to really focus on thinking simple-as far as getting the whole picture to read together nicely in its big parts. I was yammering about that before but I got complex surface form mixed up with refining a simple surface and flopped, but now I'm back on track... i think!

this first one is the one that flopped lol-

this last one maybe flopped too, but I learned that when painting you can't just rotate the form in your mind and try to get it, you have to rotate it in light and really try to see how light works on it. I might get a stroke from trying to strain the imagination Razz

sparth, thank you. Smile You have come a long way since the time when you posted your bots here in sijun, which btw were awesome aswell.
I have been meaning to ask you about scale, what kind of decisions do you do when it comes to making this massive scaled objects that you do in your pieces and scenes?
Do you put focus on the biggest object in the scene or how does it work? I guess it has to do with placement aswell...
Usually I have to add distorted perspective to make something massive.

Tomasis, oh Valve, you think? Embarassed thank you. Smile

Lemur, thank you, yea but now I have no control over the brushes. I tell myself I once did. Haha. Twisted Evil

Not sure what happened here, I tried to paint a horse like Lemur.
lol. Embarassed

Been a long while since I posted here. I just got out from confinement and happy that I can now work on my paintings. This place has always inspired me and will always.
