This Demo is too freakin huge!! I let it download overnight but my isp shut down, now I'll have to wait another few hours before it gets done. I wish my 56k modem would work - 28.8 sucks.

Once its done though, lets just hope my puter will handle it well enough to play.

Get cable or a DSL modem! THey rule! I downloaded the 182mb Omikron demo in only 3 hrs. And the cool thing is, it's cheaper than what I was paying for dailup (i was paying for an extra phone line too).

I wish I could get cable or DSL, but they don't offer it yet in my area. Only parts of my city that are close to the USWest central.......location........building........things

Chiiiiill! The ADSL costs 39 bucks Cnd dollas, unlimited time per month.
YOu have to be in a 5 mile range from server, else the connection slows down.
Installation fee is atronomous amount.
There is a...3gig? or whatever amount of data you can transfer in one month though.
That applies in Vancouver, don't know who else's got it.

There is a limit on how much you can download? If I understood you correctly Trace-R? That would suck....anyway I hate living in a small town, I live 20 miles away from the closest city that supports it and it sucks....I want it bad.

Especially playing half-life multiplayer...have to snipe those bastards

I live in Winipeg Manitoba Canada, and i have both ADSL and Cable. First off, they both cost $39 a month. Cable is unlimited access, and no DL limit. But there is the bandwidth issue, the more peeps that get Cable the slower it gets. ADSL does not have this problem and is just as fast, but upload speed is VERY slow. Both have ups and downs, but is i have to choose, it would be ADSL.
Oh, another thing with ADSL is that for some reason, online gaming pings are like 100 higher....i have no idea why. Bandwidth again, i dont know.
Oh and by the way, the Messiah demo is cool, but dont worry, it is nothing groundbreaking.
Kinda slow too, but then i only have a P3 450,128 megs of ram and a V3 3000. (sarcasm hangs in the air like pea-soup fog)

that messiah demo is a piece of garbage.

sure game is cool and all ... but the should release one that isn't so damned buggy.

And to d/l it..... jeez...

I started.. come back in the morning .. YAY!

DOH!

They deleted it off the server I was d/l it from and updated the freakin demo... so instead of a 70 mb d/l it was only a 90mb d/l! The stupid bastages!

PS.. a 11MPBS Wireless is what i want to get for my modem.
