wooooo andree!!
thanks Jake!
been really focused on transformation today, its as if the imagination works on the principals of motion, contrast, and transformation. like look at a chair and transform it into an awesome robot or airplane in your head, guess i'm just talking about glorified cloud watching! I heard the awesome medical frigates from star wars came about after the designer took a look at an outboard motor.
did this portrait trying to imagine how to make the fremen look badass since they are basically just dudes in robes and plasticky suits- does anybody else feel kinda sucky when you do a texture overlay and realize the underpainting was really dull? well it happened here-took awhile to paint the texture though so i don't feel as crappy as if it were a photo

I like the feel in that hanger D-Co
did a cringeworthy abstract, its a good warmup for just trying to transform things with the imagination, it might be as important to do abstract studies as life studies! but i think abstract just filters back to life anyhow

thats an awesome tank rawwad
gousman-nice! did the guy in the second pic fart? lol
mushroomz-those studies are really cool.
i tried to paint a picture in just reds and greens to see ifit would work, kindof fried my eyes. Then painted another dune pic but i need to do some good studies of cloth drapery to get that sort of loose sleeve to work.
