Soak, appreciate the answer, not entirely what I meant though. I know you car designers apply one stroke thing to get attractive, guess I am looking for something in between, there's this hard and soft rendering.
A surface makes a gradient and more so and especially on cars.
kakapoopie has it in his 3d render... but that's perhaps too hard edges...
Thank you for the reply. Smile

Sukhoi, that's neato.

Experiment for my finished piece this one, had to try some things on a separate piece. too soft though, will experiment with it more.

Kept working on this one so I guess it belongs in here, I hope lol?
Still needs a lot of attention, the perspective and the cars are a bit wobbly all around. Smile

Where are you car people?

Sukhoi! that's awesome

Matthew:

Ya well. i mean a car is the same like every other object.it has hard edges and surfaces.you just need to describe the form.punch in some hard edges on the side highlights , esp. horizon line or the sky in the windows, do soft shading on other curved surfaces.

hahaha don't know if you meant that Wink

Tiguan Power!

dirty ^^

Iv'e been so anal lately that I get a major kick out of seeing all you guys' more sketchy stuff. Damn you guys rock.
Matthew, it's not far off. I'd say it's more the placement of the wheels that it's the perspectice. An issue of foreshortening I guess. Try making oval shapes with the circle tool, to get the mathematic shapes correct from the start. Then you can have fun playing with design Smile

Oh and BTW, this is a re-edit of an older sketch I made for this thread.

Yea sure is but the animation is hell crazy. Very Happy
btw did you see the disclaimer? something about 110 days to render? That's crazy... Talk about patience.

Tried another one but oh my oh my, ok gotta focus on the finished stuff so I guess it's back to --> all work and no play makes jack a dull boy lmao.
