Hello all, I'm a 22 year old artist based out of DC. I'm looking to grow as an artist as well as find a community that will keep me inspired and on my toes. I've lurked a bit here and there but have never had the guts to post anything. Until today.
I'd like to get much better and hope to have a steady job doing art. Feel free to flood me with your thoughts and information.
I love books so if you know of any good ones I'd be grateful for the suggestions.
Here is some artwork for good measure.

Mull- I appreciate that, I'm here to learn as much as I can.
Capt. Fred- Thank you I have a bunch of images of some of the museum promotional drawings.
Eyewoo- I was a member of rational painting, but I moved the same week i was accepted. By the time I got my computer all set up, my account was gone. I just haven't had the guts to ask for membership again.
Jabo- I'm glad you enjoyed the drawing
Sumaleth- Thanks for checking it out.
Selphoo-I wouldn't say awesome, but thank you.
Joe84- I'm a big fan of Leyendecker as well as a lot of other Golden Age illustrator. I received the Cutler and Cutler book as a gift and it is amazing.
Here is a recent lifedrawing. not much to it.
The model's name is Brian. I apologize for the quality, the photo was taken with my girlfriend's Iphone.

All of the pics I posted are either digital or tradition (weird sentence). Anyway here is some new stuff.

Thanks alot everyone,
T_England- I did the plein air on my laptop in photoshop CS5 with a small wacom bamboo tablet(what i use for everything).
Sumaleth- thank you I'm always drawn (no pun intended) to sometimes search for abstraction but lately I've just been tring to follow the form my subject you know? As direct as I can be thring for abstraction in areas as a compisitional tool instead of trying to seem clever. Although the temptation is always there...
Mon- Holy crap!! Big fan nothing more i can say but thank you!
Here is a painting I'm working on for a friends animation project
