Well this is my very first shot at matte painting. It's not done yet as I have one big problem which distracts me from finishing it.
Its layering. You can see the difference between the sky and a mountain, buildings in the hill on the left and so on. I really tried to fit everything tone and color vise but it jst doesnt look good..
Pls help me because am really stuck with it :/
Also i'm interested in how to make good dense background grass?
Is it a brush, or jst cloning a grassy field layer?
(sorta something you can see on Andree Wallins, and Dylan Cole works)
I've searched the net but I couldnt find what i was looking for.

The part further away should be more affected by the atmosphere ( blues , greys etc ) and the values will decrease.
Right now you have some forms that feels like they are closer to us, but they are far away in the picture.. or suggested to be.
Also the perspective is a bit all over the place ? maybe just double check with a perspective grid.. except for that its looking pretty good.. be careful with the edges far away..
keep it up! _________________ dile1482.com |
