thanks ewkn! I exercise regularly and it does help alot- i think I need to start running in the mornings though, maybe pick up the guitar again too.
fishwalker, ewkn, matthew, ead, paoo, toast, syarul, on and on and on
I read a tutorial by ron lemen and it opened my eyes on how i had been viewing foundation skills vs. creative means- i had always been trying to build my paintings on foundation skills where nothing new can come of it, where as these skills must be used as tools to answer questions about the direction of the image-at least I think, if anybody has anything to say about this i'd be delighted.
I feel like there are no rules, only tools that must be used to say certain things. I suppose its time to learn the tools!
also been thinking of when its the best time to think abstract for visual impact and when we need to think of things as things-should we even think of objects with their "thing" value or simply think without words? Maybe we have to move on from words to say something powerful with paint... im in over my head now |

Lemur, I find it useful to come up with an idea before I start to paint. Like come up with a pose in your head or whatever. However it's mostly best to start out abstract and build from that.
I really don't think anyone should listen to me though when it comes to painting because I broke are rules there ever was. keep going.
I like that knight btw

thanks fishwalker, matthew!
that huge heart thing is cool octavian-id prolly poke it with a stick or throw stones at it if I came across it, of course thats when it turns out to be some horrifying alien egg sack
playing with abstract ideas then trying to use the life painting experience to understand what the light and forms are doing- feel like i could've tried more stuff

farvus, love some of those in the middle and left there
More inspired by Lingy-o, should thought of more depth. Maybe next time. Depth is cheesy sometimes, anyone else that feels the same. Perhaps inverted? hmm
