Man, I need to pop in more often. Some really nice work by everybody!
Here's some recent stuff...they vary quite a bit in time.
I just did this today and I made myself do it in 5 minutes. Once I started throwing down values, I started thinking of something King Kong-ish.
These are 10 minute exercises from last week that I did with a friend of mine who is really rusty with painting in Photoshop. I had an idea and I basically made him do these exercises without warning and I'm glad he jumped into them. I told him that I'd find an image of a simple object online and we'd both paint the object. The main thing was that we had ONLY 10 minutes to paint whatever the object was. I made the time short to force him to make decisive brushstrokes in his paintings because I noticed that his mark-making was very hesitant and not very confident at all. So, we did 5 paintings in total. We alternated finding the object images. The main thing I was looking for in the objects I found was to find objects with different materials. Glass, metal, ceramic, rubber, etc...
I only used one brush as well.
And the last, a tiny bit over an hour:
Keep up the great work, everybody! _________________ -Wes
