What are the odds that any of those songs have anything to do with the movie? :P
Gr. How come soundtracks these days are nothing but a bunch of popular songs thrown in so they can sell CDs?

Don't diss soundtracks man, they rock!
I like it when they throw good songs together, there are a lot of groups I only like one song, and when they put the whole bunch of good songs together, it makes me want to go out and buy it. I have like over 100 soundtracks and love 90% of them...(I only have around 20 music CDS)

What's worse is when half the songs on the soundtrack don't even come out in the damn movie! Those Hollywood freaks!

I don't know if all the songs are in the movie, but I know one of them is. It's some Bon Jovi song... hehe...
This soundtrack is seroiusly good, though. (well, besides that Bon Jovi song) |

The thing about soundtracks is, if they even have it in the ending credits, it can be on the soundtrack...so most songs you don't hear in the movie are usually in the ending credits (which most ppl don't stay after to watch )

Ahhh, what's with the credits these days, anyhow? They take an eternity to scroll through. Sometimes on TV you see a film or a series whose makers have truly understood how credits are supposed to be done. I'm talking about having them scroll at such a speed, that it's simply impossible to make out more than a few names. I believe the reason credits are so long these days is so they can get more songs on the soundtrack. Damn marketers! Make the movies longer, people!
:P

Hey..... Soundtracks suck.... =)
I have only ever bought two, and they both sucked out loud. So I just stick to CD's and the radio =)
And it doesnt hurt to borrow a CD when you have a burner..... =) |

Hey, you want a SURE-buy soundtrack? Buy the soundtrack to ANY Quentin Tarantino movie. Can't go wrong there. The songs are usually an integral part of the movie itself and not only serve their purpose as background music but also work out of the movie setting. So there. And, though rather populist, I liked the Matrix sountrack as well. ![](http://www.sijun.com/dhabih/ubb/smile.gif) |

First of all, Rob Zombie doesnt suck, I think its pretty unique as Shrimpish pointed out, and the music is psychodelic, I really love it. It was really cool when in 'The Matrix' Dragula rocked in the rave. |

Hmm... One of the reasons I don't like it is because I don't like rock! haha!
And the second is my friend would blast it in his car on the way to school and I would have
"LIVING DEAAAAAAAAAAD GIRL!!!!!!!!!!"
in my head all fricken day long....

Bah, I'm getting rather tired of movies trying to portray a cool underground club, making an industrial club and then not using industrial music. Usually using pissweak rock-with-synths nonsense instead.
I've said it before and I'll say it again.
Korn?

very, very often soundtracks sucks. i got some soundtracks but the best is from the moive "Lost Highway". In this case they released the soundtrack after the movie came out. Nowdays they do sucha fucking hype over the soundtracks so they release the CD month before the movie... and about the lost highway music, it's NOT a bunch of hits on it that doesn't apear in the movie. the movie has every song on the soundtrack in the movie. and actually, the movie should be a real bad movie without the music in it. in other words: It's a great movie.

Are you kidding me?!? There are tons of soundtracks out there that rock. All types of listening as well. Try:
The Terminator
Mortal Kombat
Glory
Searching for Bobby Fischer
Braveheart
Southpark
Apollo 13
Event Horizon <- very cool beginning
BLADE <-This one ROCKS!
Any soundtrack by Jerry Goldsmith or James Horner is always a winner...
Just to name a few.

What really annoys me is soundtracks that have a tiny label stating "includes songs from and INSPIRED BY movienamehere" This "inspired by" usually means pretty uninspiring music.
Nothing more annoying than to buy a soundtrack hoping to find that one kick-ass song, only to see it's been bumped off the soundtrack to make room for some shitty pop-group that is "hip" at the moment.
Oh btw, I can't believe they are actually making/selling a soundtrack to the Blair Witch Project. Now THAT's scaaaary.
nic-on-fly: If you liked Pulp Fiction and Jackie Brown, I suggest you check out the Reservoir Dogs soundtrack. It kicks as much ass as the movie does.

guybrush : Hans Zimmer is da bomb!!!
everytime I see a movie and think : "hey, this soundtrack rocks!" its because Hans Zimmer has composed it. Who can ever forget the "Gladiator" -soundtrack?
Another VERY good soundtrack is "Requiem for a Dream" by Clint Mansell. |

WTF? Time machine?
Oh well.
Basil Poledouris's Conan the Barbarian film score is the biggest pimp of them all. Period. |
