Obvious praise of everyone...
But that aside, Lakka, that simple castle piece with the yellow windows is probably the best piece of work you've ever posted here imho. You would do well to push your work in that direction. I'm supposeing there's some matte elements to it, but still, just saying.

cDamage, thank you! Questions like am I progressing, is this working at all, what should I do different seem to be very hard for myself to answer. I think I keep making wrong decisions every step I take, which I'd rather not do, obviously. so sincerely thank you for the help
The castle image is very much built on photos with sloppy drawing on top, probably making it worse. I am a bit scared that the only reason that image might have something good, and the rest 400 do not, is that bunch of mountain imagery pulled off of google. 
The only times I can really say anything on my own paintings/drawings, whatever one might want to call them, is when it's based on a reference, let it be from life or a photo. Most of the time I can not say anything positive. Pretty much all I see is problems, but hardly come up with solutions 
But I shall try, and torture everyones eyes ever so often.
I guess it's paint to post

P-Rik - Im not normally much of a character lover, but that 'Orc scribble' rocks my world!
Amazing efforts everyone, i absolutely love coming to this forum to see all these, they are so impressive! I always look thru a page trying to make a mental note of the people that deserve a namecheck, but by the time i get to the bottom, i have forgotten half because the list is so long!
Anyway, here is a quick doodle trying to help a friend develop his set for his 3d animated short. I feel a bit hesitant to post it amongst all this awesomeness, coz it was rushed during a quick break, but still...
