those are stunning alyssa.
I'm thinking something new about drawing and the use of paint- When I take out form and light from the equation,I absolutely cannot visualize or make sense of things, seems to me like this is all about presenting forms and strengthening them with the use of light in a clever composition (and a little bit of technique I suppose, so it won't be all too vanilla). Do any of you guys have any good resources on light or landscape painting? I need some learnin to do- also composition, it seems such an abstract subject and I can't find any useful reading on it, thanks in advance!
some poop- should really think in more basic terms of form, I think I painted out of the order of importance and it shows pretty heavy

Thanks all from the previous pages, I'm quite inconsistent when it comes to posting sketches.
Lemur- A great source of understanding painting and light, including landscape painting+composition http://www.richardschmid.com/alla_prima_book_info.htm it's worth every penny

That's very cool, Paoo.
Spent some time with the Maschinen Krieger creator yeasterday, watching him paint - very inspiring so I had to do another piece from his universe.

watmough-ah, the other day I was trying to paint as it was getting dark and kept getting confused until I realized the time. I also wanted to ask you as you seem to get lots of life practice outdoors with a laptop (?) how do you deal with screen brightness vs. life brightness? Today I dimmed mine for an indoors study, and it seemed to work, but the other way around I have no clue how it should work...
med- thankyou sir! I'll be ordering that right after posting, schmid is amazing, as are you
Rinthe- nice one!
Paoo- future egg drop! I love the cinematic effect of this.
EAD- I would like to stay at the hotel europa- would always have a nice view heh heh
I'm really having fun now as I realize that painting isn't about effortlessly busting out some pretty artwork. Its truly about learning as much as you can about the visual aspect of something and planning the execution. maybe something about expression in there too. It's nice to have so much to learn, we'll be doing this shit the rest of our lives so why not?
