I've been working on this for about 10 days or so. Oil on shellacked paper on panel. About three layers using Graham's Walnut/Alkyd medium throughout.

Very nice - looks like a photo. Good to see a nice traditional painting on here. _________________ http://neechart.blogspot.com/ |

You're pushing farther into both ends of the value scale than in some of your other studies, and it's creating a really pleasant luminosity.
Rock solid work. Could be production art for "Ratatouille". _________________ brian.prince|light.comp.paint |

thats great eyewoo- have you been doing many "paintings a day" since the last thread to lead up to doing something like this? I feel like I could reach out and pick up the objects presented. |

My PADs kept turning into paintings in 2 or 3 days... yes, they certainly led to this painting and, hopefully, many more to come. _________________ HonePie.com

Actually do not like the reference to "snap shot." I do, of course, love that you have taken the time to respond positively to my painting. For that I thank you from my heart. However, I do not aspire to be a photo realist painter. I like the term contemporary realism. In the long term, I'm not sure it makes any difference one way of the other...
At any rate... thanks again for having a look.
Here's another one that is not yet finished, but close to it... oil on panel

Sure thing... here is an early underpainting... The painting is 11" x 11". However, I'm thinking of doing a large version -- like 5 feet x 5 feet.

These days it's mostly links, in profile or signature. The aim being to get more link-tos which gets them a higher google position. Or something.
That one posted several replies, two of which didn't make any sense in the context of the thread (got lucky on the others I guess). _________________ Art Links Archive -- Artists and Tutorials |

The onions and pot are perfect. Love the colours.
The blocks are really great but something about the intersection between the white door(?), background and where the blocks meet the white looks a bit odd. Not a big thing though. |
