Photoshop is really shit, couldn't imagine go back to that anytime.
Gimp is what get things done.

Rinthe, I made an overpaint, flipped it the wrong way so sorry about that. Don't think this overpaint will help you that much though.

Rinthe, it has to do with the quality of the digital paint, in photoshop it is all edgy and feels digital. With Gimp eventhough there is similar default brush it smears more and feels softer. Not sure how to explain it, that was what I liked in Open Canvas aswell.
Open Canvas the latest didn't work that well in Vista though, if they will fix it better in the future I might buy that Open Canvas.
Gimp really works perfectly though and imagine that you can get it for free compared with the really expensive photoshop.

back to watch the inauguration, you guys watching?

yuk.- thanks, glad you think so; nice brushwork on that profile head

brush9-haha, yeah! nice interior man

Tzan- >:]

Vyle- shoot! so clean

leosnow- that's what i'm talkin about maynn

Synnical! Haha I'll get you a new keyboard when I can afford it. Nice Morgana man! Really reads as her. As for the show, yeah it's quite cheesy and pretty predictable, but it's entertainment. I usually watch shows like that as I try to sleep with a bowl of cereal with cut up bananas

xbrianx- haha yeah uhh...they're gonna eat him. nice valley btw

Vahn-likewise Very Happy

snootchy-nice comps!

mattyuk- your progress is outstanding

nag-slick helmet, interesting color mood too

Sometimes, I like the helicopter piece. I much prefer that kind of work to your more abstract stuff.

Trying something a little differently to my own usual stuff (and failing with it). Just a 45min sketch... I might go back and work on it some more, fix the perspective problems and add more of a story.

sometimes: the edgy look might be because ur not zoomed 100% in the older versions of photoshop.

Hi Guys, I ve been watching this thread for years and you gave me soo much inspiration. Please keep up the good work!

I am experimenting with combination of 3d brushes (premodeled 3D objects) and classic 2d brushes (I just started so I still suck Smile
The 3d part is almost finished, other one is just a study of values and textures. No Idea about colors yet.

I will be very happy if you overpaint and send post your suggestions. Thanks Wink
