Still struggling with values, its obvious to me now though I should've spent more time studying the basic relations, gotta learn to ignore all but the most basic planes

lemur.. are you drawing, as well(on a regular basis, and also the studies that you're doing- are you drawing them out)? or do you mostly paint it out?

merry Christmas fellas!
annis- I draw on a regular basis, trying to bring the sketchpad around and get as much in as I can in the free moments. I did a few charcoals of the skull, and a few reaaally crappy acrylics (I need to learn how to mix them before I try painting again). The studies are blobbed on rather than drawn, It feels weird at first but I think it will lead to a more flexible way of working.
Theo- dammit you are cruel, its like a piece of candy in a bear trap!
Ax- thanks! Actually I have the same thing to say of yours, they are very soothing to the eyes. You got skill with light bro!
I could definitely use some learning on lighting, I get undecided with what the little photons are doing
