Small question, would anyone here know who is the illustrator behind RA3's box art?

I'd very much like to contact him, to ask him about what vector techniques he used in creating the box art. I'm doing an end-year project on propaganda, so I believe this is quite relevant. Thanks in advance

Vince

To be honest I'm not really interested in the game. It's the box artist's skills I want Smile

I am not so into Vector, though I have seen some tutorials on the net. I think there are a lot of them.
What do you find so special in the above that you need to contact the illustrator?
just curious...

The vintage look, really.
Aside Robert Fairey and this guy I haven't seen a lot of artists working with vectors like that. Lot's of detail and sharp edges, and outlines on everything.

I wouldn't be surprised if that's Photoshop, not vector.

Not just granma's old Red Alert 'cuz it's now updated with transforming mechs, flea jumping spider mechs, circus cannon launched paratrooper bear units, burrowing feature a la zerglings in Star Craft Brood War, Kamikaze super-weapon, and a bunch of other cartoon crazy updates.

Campaign missions are alright. Better in-game graphics for sure.

I believe Greg Luzniak is the artist.

He's signature "Greg" is on a bunch of RA3 concepts. But he's using at least a couple of styles so I wasn't sure at first until I confirmed it while playing the game: a comicbook inked style for Soviets and a thin line with digital watercolors for Empirial concepts like this: http://www.thisisgame.com/board/files/0/img/203-20080723170607_19196ec6.jpg

He's officially credited as a concept artist in the game, but online he's only listed as a modeller.

I don't think his Soviet style is vector though if you check out his comic works. He used ref pics of Gina Carano (aka Natasha) for his Soviet splash screens: http://img91.imageshack.us/my.php?image=05ej7.jpg
