Looking great man! It did remind me a lot of Whit Brachna's mountain image tutorial, very much the same feeling except with warmer colors. No matter though, I love it.

Birds are mighty big perhaps.
Keep it up!

I dig it. Strong atmosphere, but maybe add a little colour variety, will spruce things up.

Yeah, very nice
It's a little hard to grasp the scale, so perhaps working up some area or add an object would do the trick

thanks for all the kind words guys

The scale is an issue as its pretty difficult to suggest it with no man made elements or obvious size references, like trees for instance, was hoping the birds would do the trick but maybe I'll have to bite the bullet and stick in some people.

and yeah I did watch the first half of Whits demo a while ago, thought the way he built up the rock forms from abstract brush strokes was a great way of letting the rocks design themselves. So yeah it definitely influenced my approach (thanks Whit).

Nice!
One crit I would have is that I'd make some of the foreground rock masses bigger to suggest that they're closer to the camera than the mid/background mountains.

Do you have a website?
