This is a study from a photo I found on the net. Unfortunately, I can no longer find the original photo, and so I don't have the name of the photographer to credit. Painted in about an hour in photoshop.

I like that image farvus. It has a really pleasant feeling to it... kind of reminds me of a miyazaki esque world. I took the liberty of suggesting some value changes for you... I figured the shadows wouldn't be that dark with a bright sky like that. there is also going to be a considerable amount of radiosity bouncing around that I think would lighten those shadows up on the left.... but meh, heres a quick example of what I'm talking about. hope you dont mind. again, sweet image.

This is a study from a photo my cousin took in Switzerland. Painted in about 2 hours in photoshop. I altered the lighting a bit from the original photo to get a little more drama in there.
