Sukhoi, your last one is simply gorgeous. and i agree with you on the Cayenne, it's one of those rare designs which could not be improved upon by even the good kind of aftermarket modification - it simply gets uglier! but I like you reinterpretation.

dsg, very expressive pen sketches...love the style you have on that tank-jeep one
annis, some great designs in those!
Max, lovely renders!

Captn, its usally ball point -> photoshop and then using quick masks and airbrushes along with paths to get the difficult lines perfect. A lot can be done with warp tool and a closely but not quiet accurate stroke... I don't use cintic, i cant afford it atm.

30min technique...

...snip...

amazing! Shocked it's so simple yet describe the forms and surfaces so well...

I've been trying to draw cars lately and as i get to the value part it turns into a muddled mess...need to work on the pen tool skills...

Sweet Max, yes I read too many downsides on the cintiq, and I guess ballpoint is nice and realxing and most of all MOBILE.

Anyway you got the nice design as well as technical skills I love every sketch, and I think you inspired lotsa peeps in this thread. People are becoming form-mutants here Razz I have to catch up

Synnical, Kian, thanks guys. Appreacite it.

Capt, crazy part about it is that i got into art after watching dudes like you here and elsewhere doing all the awesome digital sci-fi.

Ballpoint can be hard to get used to, some people are just naturals at it. I am not one of them. But its a very spartan style, if you can do it with ballpoint - you can pretty much do it with most everything.

Cintiq is cool, but its just a intuos 3 under a lcd covered with glass. 2 grand for that? I'd rather get a quad core with 8gb of ram. And it gets really really hot too. I'll pass.

More photocopying.

Its getting lonely in here, post more cars guys!

Thought I'd have another go, taking a bit more time understanding the surface

Last one rocks Kian.
It would really take it up a level if you finished the tires, perfect ellipses (path tool), and good contrast between black rubber and silver/white rims. Really cool design on the body.

I find it incredibly hard to design in perspective..... Sad And I have renewed respect for simple beauty.

@Flush. Haha, relax man. I've been doing simple cars all my life.....only gotten somewhere with it whithin the last year or two.....
I guess Annis just practices like a f*cking madman. His progress as really been incredible. Kudos mate.[/list]
