All pictures are well done, so noone will be ashamed, if you don't vote for his picture. It doesn't mean you don't like it or something.
Its just an art-challenge ... noone get pissed and is going to kill you. ;D

So its the most easy thing just to quote it in here ... thats all ... no big deal.

Lets put it this way.
The list of the challengers is posted.
Those who are in the challenge are the only ones to vote.
That's 27 votes. Period.
If you want to vote private, take the list, fill it out, and send it to Med.
For the two of us who aren't bent out of shape about our votes, knowing that since it's ONLY us participants voting, the chances of vote swaying are greatly reduced, what is done, is done.

Our votes are cast, you all know how we voted. My votes aren't changing, regardless how you vote for votes to be cast.

You can now have another discussion on how the rest of you want to vote, and let Med know when he has 'Net access again.

You wanna get things done as soon as possible, just vote.
Its not that organized cause its just a little challenge for fun ... you wouldn't get disqualified by voting in this thread. There is no wrong; so theres no reason waiting for an "official" statement.
Med would be happy to see people already votet, so he don't have to wait for it.

I think you should be more easy on the trigger and not speak as if you are the game-show leader when you are making suggestions like this. And clearly point out in the thread-title that you are just having a discussion about it.

I was about to not send my entry in just because of the confusion you created in the challenge thread regarding the deadline. I as many other got confused with the 24hrs extra and chose to use it. Then having you telling everybody to stop while Med (the person who is actually holding in this thing) tells us to send it in is just not doing anything good for this.

For me this is not about the competition, its about the participation.

But hey I can see that you are excited, and thats great! Maybe you can hold in the next event, you certainly have the spirit for it. -meow

If you do choose to vote in this thread, it's okay. It just means I have to come find it here.

Although, it is easier for me if you PM vote, some prefer it that way anyway. So far yes, the 27 people that entered their works may vote.

And who ever enters work in the next round may vote as well, so I expect 30 voters, nobody is disqualified for not entering their work, they just don't end up in the winners bracket.

I like Sweetums' voting sheet, just copy and paste that into a PM or here, and again PM is kind of easier for me.

I don't see a problem with it really. I just believe it wasn't the best choice to put this thread into 'random musings' because it can be easily overlooked this way.
Lol, and I was certainly not thinking I'd be disqualified or something. I was just stating that things could have been planned out better. Now we have 2 threads in 2 different forums, people place their votes in the forums AND through pm. Does it not give off a chaotic feel...? Well, I don't need to sort out all the votes later...

Also, you're contradicting yourself by saying that your intent was to create a thread about 'providing suggestions on voting' while you still allow actual voting going on in here as well.

yeah, I find it odd that this topic was placed under 'random musing' too...though since only the ones participating are voting, they should all have their votes in by now. we have fewer than 30 entries for this so it's not complicated yet, and hopefully the kinks will be worked out as the challenge progresses.

Does anybody know how to make a countdown timer for forums? All I found was cruise countdowns or something... I wanted to get one in here for deadlines. And right now, I have made a deadline for the votes.

24 hours from this post is the deadline for votes. Otherwise I will be using the votes that I already have.

How about "Wings" as a theme for the next round? It's a common enough thing in many artworks, but can be interpreted in a myriad of ways...

Which wouldn't be a bad theme, either...

"Music," being a non visual-type thing, would be too vague a theme, I think. I have no interest in trying to illustrate sound, even as a concept, Even though "trapped" is also a concept (for example), it is easier to put a visual form to it, that to "music."
