Hey all. I recently bought a Wacom A5 wide (6x11). It's been pretty weird working on a tablet for the first time, but I'm getting there. The only thing that's bothering me at this point are the sides of the tablet outside the active area. I can't really slide over them, and when I'm working in the corner, my wrist or the palm of my hand kind of sticks to the side of the tablet. When I'm drawing bigger lines and use my lower arm, I can slightly lift it to overcome this although this isn't always comfortable either.

So the main problem is when I'm working on details and making small movements, I can't really slide my hand/wrist anymore. My solution so far is wearing longe sleeve t-shirts, but with 85F outside I'd rather not. Very Happy

Any tips or ideas? Or am I doing something completely wrong? Thanks!

I made a "Slidy-sleeve" from a wore-out long sleeve t-shirt. I cut the sleeve off about 8 inches from the bottom cuff. I slide this on my hand, and then glide across my Wacom (I have a 9x12).

You can also try using one of those really thin plastic cutting boards (I got mine at a Dollar Store) that are bendable. I use one of those on my old Inutos that has a worn overlay.

I usually wear a cotton glove with the fingertips cut off - the kind people wear under rubber gloves if they don't like sweating that much. It helps plenty, although even with the fingers pruned to the bare minimum (I find it's best to leave the pinky part long enough to cover the first joint of the finger), my hand does tend to get a tad warm. Better than covering the entire arm, though...

med that is an awesome setup. The glove is perfect.

Does the Cintiq rotate like this normally or is this a custom monitor rig?

Cintiq does support rotation like in the video, I've never used it that way though. I just have it standing in a 45 degree angle.
